We can reroute your package to another address, in certain cases. You can request we hold onto your package for you to pick up at a UPS location.
How much does it cost to redirect a UPS package?
We do not charge to redirect packages to UPS customer centers, The UPS Store locations, or UPS Access Point locations. UPS My Choice members will have a fee for delivery change requests to any other addresses. Please know changing the delivery address of your package could delay your scheduled delivery date.
How do I redirect my package?
How It Works. You can request that the destination Post Office hold the item for you or have it returned to sender. Verify that your shipment is eligible for Package Intercept. If eligible, you can submit your request online after logging in with your USPS.com account.
Is it possible to change UPS delivery address?
You may also change your delivery address on ups.com. Select the Tracking tab and enter your 12-digit InfoNotice number (found above the barcode) in the Tracking or InfoNotice numbers field, and select the Track button. On the Tracking Summary page, select the Change Delivery button.

Can UPS hold my package for pickup?
Yes, we can hold your eligible packages at The UPS Store, a UPS customer centre, a UPS Access Point™ location or at one of our partner retail locations. If you are a UPS My Choice® member, The UPS Store and other UPS Access Point locations can hold your package for up to seven calendar days.
How many delivery attempts does UPS make?
We are unable to provide two delivery attempts on the same day. Your driver may make a second attempt on the next business day and a third attempt on the following business day, if necessary. Where available, your shipment may be taken to your nearest UPS Access Point location™ for collection.
What do I do if a package was delivered to an old address?
Inform the sender that the address is incorrect, and ask them to ship it to a different address. They may request that you pay the fee for using the Package Intercept service, or they may ask you to cancel your order and make a new one.
Is it illegal to keep a package wrongly delivered to you?
You have the legal right to keep it as a free gift, according to the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Sellers aren’t permitted to ask for payment for unordered items, either, and the FTC says consumers are under no obligation to even tell the seller about the wrongly delivered merchandise.
Who is responsible if package is delivered to wrong address?
The short answer is: The seller, which means you, the business owner. Obviously, if you printed the wrong address on the shipping label, didn’t include a return address, or poorly packaged the item, it’s 100% on you to compensate the customer with a new shipment or a refund.
